Introduction

Jim Rorrer is a retired institutional investment consultant and the current Chair of The Southside Preservation and Enhancement Alliance.

Professional & Community Background

After graduating from Marshall University in 1971 and beginning his career at First Huntington National Bank, Jim spent nearly four decades in the investment industry in Richmond, VA. He and his wife, Trish, returned to Huntington’s Southside in 2014.

Jim has served on numerous boards and committees, including the Marshall University Foundation, Big Green Scholarship Foundation, Lewis College of Business Advisory Board, Huntington Water Quality Board, Huntington Municipal Development Authority, and the Woodlands Retirement Community Board.

As Chair of The Alliance, Jim brings his extensive leadership and financial expertise to guide efforts in preserving, protecting, and enhancing the Southside neighborhood.
