Southside Historic Preservation Workshop

  • Missio Dei Church 1101 12th Street Huntington, WV, 25701 United States (map)

Curious about historic districts? Want to learn how preservation can benefit you as a homeowner?

Join The Southside Preservation & Enhancement Alliance, the City of Huntington, and the West Virginia State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) for a free, community-focused Historic Preservation Workshop on Thursday, November 20 at 6:00 PM at Missio Dei Church.

This interactive session will cover:
• What a National Register Historic District is (and isn’t)
• How homeowners can qualify for state residential rehabilitation tax credits
• How Southside could benefit from preservation grants and funding opportunities

Representatives from SHPO will share insights and answer questions about the National Register of Historic Places and how Southside residents and property owners can get involved.

This meeting is free and open to the public!
All Southside residents, homeowners, and community partners are encouraged to attend.

Special thanks to Hood Realty Company for sponsoring light refreshments.
