Dan Gooding

Introduction

Dan Gooding is the founding Chair and Past-President of The Southside Alliance.

Professional & Community Background

Dan, a Marshall graduate and Certified Financial Planner®, owns a financial planning firm and served for many years as WV Executive Magazine’s Financial Editor, authoring financial columns in each issue. His career and civic service span decades, with leadership roles in Morgantown, Lewisburg, and Huntington, including Ronald McDonald House, the Monongalia Arts Center, the Lewisburg Preservation Alliance, and the Huntington Symphony Orchestra.

Connection to Southside / The Alliance

Dan led the formation of The Alliance in 2019, establishing the foundation upon which the organization continues to build its mission of preserving, protecting, and enhancing the Southside. He and his wife, Kellie, live in a historic 1915 Southside home with their children, Daniel and Elise.
